A new change from Ofqual will see the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) replaced in the coming months with the new single and more simple to use framework;  Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF),

From GCSE’s to accredited courses, qualifications will now be built from this new Framework, but that doesn’t mean any previous QCF qualifications are no longer in effect. All previously gained qualifications are still valid so long as they’re in date, however, all future certificates gained will now be gained using RQF framework.
